Synopsis
Dakuaan Da Munda 3 continues the legacy of the franchise by diving deep into the life of another troubled soul from Punjab — a man torn between his past, his addictions, and his fight for redemption. Inspired by true events, the film explores how one man’s fall into darkness leads to an even greater rise, built on pain, perseverance, and self-belief.
Story & Screenplay
The film follows Yodha (Dev Kharoud), a boxer raised in an orphanage, who gets dragged into the world of drugs and crime after a tragic turn of events. When a corrupt police officer exploits the weak and innocent, Yodha takes it upon himself to fight back — not just against the system, but against his own demons.

The screenplay is intense and emotional, with moments that truly connect. The writing brings out the harsh realities of addiction, poverty, and corruption in rural Punjab. While a few scenes feel stretched, the emotional core remains strong throughout.
Performances
Dev Kharoud once again delivers a powerhouse performance. He captures both the rage and vulnerability of a man fighting his own battles. His emotional scenes hit hard, and his physical presence gives authenticity to the action.
The supporting cast, especially Poonam Sood and Lucky Dhaliwal, lend credibility to the story. Each character feels rooted in reality — flawed, broken, but human.
Direction & Technical Aspects
Director Mandeep Benipal deserves praise for keeping the tone raw and realistic. The film doesn’t glorify crime — it exposes it. The cinematography captures Punjab’s grit and soul beautifully, from crowded streets to misty fields. The action choreography is sharp and impactful, avoiding over-the-top dramatics.
The background score enhances tension, while the songs are placed thoughtfully, reflecting the film’s mood rather than interrupting it.
Themes & Message
At its heart, Dakuaan Da Munda 3 is a story of redemption and resilience. It sheds light on how easily people can fall victim to addiction and systemic corruption, but also how courage and self-awareness can bring transformation. It continues the franchise’s mission — to inspire, not just entertain.
Weaknesses
-
Some sequences in the second half feel a bit prolonged.
-
A few side characters deserved deeper development.
-
Predictable moments in the plot reduce the impact of an otherwise gripping story.
Verdict
Dakuaan Da Munda 3 is a gritty, emotional, and powerful addition to Punjabi cinema. It combines real emotion with raw action, delivering both heart and intensity. Despite minor pacing issues, it stands tall as one of the strongest Punjabi films of 2025 — a reminder that redemption is possible even after the darkest fall.
